Summary:

On June 09, 2026 at 8:50 p.m. a material train MV4 collided with a road motor vehicle at the LC „Klisa“ on the line L204 at km 028+422 between stations Pakrac and Lipik.
The material train MV4 consisted of locomotive number 92 78 2044 203-4. Before arriving at the LC, the material train did not give the prescribed sound signals to warn the users of the LC of its approach and it was traveling at a speed higher than that prescribed in the train driving order. Upon the train’s arrival at the LC, a collision occurred between the train and the road motor vehicle. The train struck the road motor vehicle with its front right buffer in the train’s direction of travel into the right middle part of the road motor vehicle and pushed it 56 meters from the point of impact to the point of stopping.
In the accident, the passenger in the road motor vehicle was seriously injured and there was major material damage to the road motor vehicle and minor material damage to the locomotive and railway infrastructure.

Given the circumstances that led to the accident, a decision was made to initiate a safety investigation, in accordance with Article 127, paragraphs 2 2. and 3 a) of the Railway Safety and Interoperability Act (Official Gazette, No. 63/20).
