It is recommended that INA – Industrija nafte, d.d., prior to the mooring of each tanker (regardless of whether the vessel is in cabotage or international navigation) at berth no. 2 of the INA tanker terminal in Kaštelanski Basin C of the Split North Port in Solin, ensure the presence of an authorized and adequately qualified expert (“Loading Master”) during the handling of hazardous substances in bulk. If necessary, this person should also be present for the entire duration of the vessel’s stay at the terminal (in case of delays/interruptions in handling hazardous substances, prolonged waiting for departure, adverse weather conditions, malfunctions, damages, etc.), coordinating cargo operations and ensuring compliance with regulations, agreed safety measures, and good marine practices.
